Brexit - Creating a Cuntocracy - Now with 4d chess option

Clearly, breaking news is slowing down. The BBC have decided to start wheeling out fuckwits like this:

In Middlesbrough, John Elliot, the founder of a British-based washing machine manufacturer, said: "In a year’s time we’ll wonder what the problem was. Whether we have a long Brexit or a short Brexit, let’s get on with it.

"I guarantee in two years’ time we will wonder what all the fuss was about."

He said “running the country better” is a more important issue than Brexit.

That’s great then, John. Makes me feel a whole lot better.

Despite today’'s histrionics, I think the ERG and the rest of the loony brexit right will end up supporting this deal and it will get through the commons. My logic:

They will come to realise three facts of life: that there is no majority in the house for a no deal brexit, no majority in the CP for ousting May, no better deal on offer from the EU. Then their choice will be no brexit or May’s deal. They will fall in line and vote the deal through.

Fantasy?

I’ll have a couple of whatever you’ve just taken Stu.

Yes.

The only way it gets passed is if enough Labour MP’s support her.

I’m not exactly sure what Labour’s issues are with the proposed deal and it seems they just want to oppose it to try to get a general election.

However, they need to tread carefully or they could get blamed for the chaos - similar to what Trump said about losing the House to the Democrats last week - it could be good for him because he can just blame them if no legislation gets passed.

I think that’s how they should think. But they’ve downed waaay too much Kool-Aid to turn back now

Maybot still ahead of Lenin in todays Sky flash poll. For the love of Christ. How bad to you have to be to be losing to May ?

You really think they want one?

I don’t. It’s all just posturing whilst watching the car crash.

Agreed. If they were half as clever as they pretend to be or cared about the NI as the pretend to all of this would’ve occurred months, if not years ago.

To be fair, for JC to be ahead, IDS would have to be appointed the new leader of the Conservatives. Even then, it would be touch and go.

This exercise in national self harm needs treatment.

Vote Stronzetto

Grayling means well but is useless.

Gove has had a mixed record though. He said of himself, in respect of leadership,

“There’s a special extra quality you need that is indefinable, and I know I don’t have it. There’s an equanimity, an impermeability and a courage that you need. There are some things in life you know it’s better not to try.”

He has the skills for doing what he did between leaving uni (1988) and entering parliament (2005) - journalism. He thinks quickly, he argues quite well, he presents a complete case, he is pretty good at rhetoric and oratory. He has a sense of humour and would be decent company I suspect. He is fundamentally superficial though (if that’s not a contradiction). He can argue for anything. Winning the argument is more important to him than being right, and like any journalist he realises that deadlines are hard and cutting corners and cocking up are prices worth paying to get the paper written in time for the presses.

I reckon he could be dangerous if put in charge of anything really important.

It rather suns up the current political soundtrack: the shrill whine of Crusaders who are not prepared to die for their cause

If 4 years ago someone had offered the nutters - Mogg, Fox, Bridgen, Patterson & co - this deal with a blank piece of paper for the final dealthey’dhave ripped your bloody hand off

Similarly, the lefties would have fucked their gran for a Scandinavian social democratic model, but now it’s full on socialist nirvana or nowt, comrade.

Fucking mental

Gove is also the person who said “People in this country have had enough of experts”.

Evidently, none of these experts are anywhere near Westminster.

A no deal Brexit is the backstop. there will be no vote on it, the HOC can’t stop it without Government support.

If May doesn’t get her deal through, we crash out.

Nicola Sturgeon says the proposed Brexit agreement is unfair to Scotland because it gives Northern Ireland the sort of deal that she’s long been arguing for.

Just stoppit now! The chips are getting so big, I’ll only be able to fit 3 in the chip pan. Lou will not be pleased if I get two of them and she’s left with just one. It’s not fair

This only happens if there are no amendments tabled on, or prior to the ‘meaningful vote’. Parliament is sovereign (as we are so often reminded) so if there is neither support for the deal nor crashing out, there will be a third outcome. It is clear that the PM and the nutters (on the leave and remain sides) all recognise this. The recent change in the rhetoric is that they are no longer denying the possibility of the ‘No Brexit’ outcome.

Speaking of a change in the rhetoric, the Daily Fail is attacking the ERG doubters! Tomorrow’s front page:

We live in strange and frightening times when the front page of the Fail is almost coherent. :cold_sweat:

When the chips are down … …the meatmen are in there.
