Can I successfully run a sub using one rca cable from the hifi?

In a broadly similar vein, I think it is unrealistic to find a single (pair) sub that works optimally for both music and AV.

My sub was easy to integrate for music only, where you don’t need artificially thunderous / impactful bass.
