Car Wants (maybe once, but now just anything Jim can find on the internet. 🙄)

Do you actually want that?

Holy shit. Absolutely mega!

Strong Honda CRX vibes there. Nice! :sunglasses:

In some ways this is utterly pointless. It’s a car that was never a sports car and, after having considerable effort expended on it… it’s still not a sports car. Even so I want it;
Take a late production R107 300SL

Remove the old suspension and fit a custom setup, taking time to make use of the best design of R107 wheel which had ceased being a factory fit by then

Really go to town on the engine; new cams, coil pack, ported head, revised ECU etc

And, yeah, it’s got one of these;

In an interior that has been updated quite nicely;

It’s for sale HERE and I would like it very much please.

Very nice, although it is 2 inches too low, I’d have to adjust the suspension to correct the wheel arch gap

Was expecting that to be quite a lot more given the level of work it has had done.

Agree, makes that £450k E30 M3 restomod of a couple of years ago look expensive!!!

This is an SUV I would happily drive :star_struck:

Shows how massive current vehicles have become that a first gen RR now looks like a Kiddie-Kar !

Still a great looking vehicle, especially the earliest ones, and just imagine - a car with superb, near-180 degree visibility outwith! So much modern stuff is like wearing a giant helmet with a tiny visor…

Best to stick a Rolls Royce jet engine on the back in case the Rover V8 doesn’t do the job :exploding_head:

This also looks fun and considerably more practical

An exceptional example - one owner from new, very low mileage:

Probably, my most favourite performance car after my Falcon GTHO, and Lotus Espirit.

Certainly not seen (or heard) this driving around Faringdon!
