Today; at 43 years, 9 months and 28 days old, I found myself coveting a Nissan Sunny.
And what a fucking Sunny it is.
There’s the minor downside that it’s in Northern Japan but, for a whisker under 30 grand, that is absolutely bloody marvellous.

Nice colour but would be better if it was sporting period correct wheels. Lowered suspension, over-sized wheels, low profile tyres - not for me. Too much wrong.
Far form being lowered, I think it’s actually teetering higher on those fucking stupid perambulator wheels, like some kind of half-arsed ‘donk’…
They need to go, f’sure, tho’ the Europa was anything but pretty in any case.
You’re quite right. Good spot. I had just assumed it had been stanced as so much of the tyre was shrouded by the flared arches.
Had a Matchbox Europa. T’was my first dream car.
Liked the Europa at the time because mid-engine just betta.
Now I prefer the Elan because overall it is a better practical sports car.
Much as I would like one a MX5 makes more sense today.
I rather like the Spyder Elans with a more modern engine/brakes.
Shame I don’t fit.
One for each foot should do it

Saw a Grenadier Quartermaster this afternoon
Also, a mate has had a full-on mid-life crisis and chopped in his Tesla Model S for one of these
although not in that colour. He picks it up in a couple of weeks. I know nothing about cars but it doesn’t look like the most practical of things. The leather interior looked nice though.
I forgot.
He doesn’t live in the greatest place in the world (and I say that as someone who lives in SE London) so it’s also cost him £16k in hydraulic bollards for their horseshoe driveway.

Damned with faint praise; a reason to keep my A2 on the road!
Amazing vehicles, but yeah, there’s always something a little contradictory and sad about vehicle musuems/collections - all those too-perfect dreams just sat around and never driven for fear of harming their value…
At least this way, they still exist, in the metal, for others to know about and enjoy.
Not a car exactly, but what about a steampunk Time Machine mobility scooter? Complete with spinny thingy.
Looks like he will be putting a fair bit of work into that.
