Interesting to see that John Howes (lovely fella) has a Stereo 20 out now. The amp in the pic is one of his Quad IIs, of course. The latter used to be supplied with STC 5B/255M output valves (basically an 807 without the top cap and fitted into a much smaller bottle) but since that one’s got EL34s in I assume they’ve changed the sockets (EL34s are IO, of course, whereas 5B/255Ms are B8B).
