Lol, fucking magpies.

It could even be battery powered, which would be nice.

Not interested if you don’t.

Very true but that also depends on the cartridge sticking around for more than a couple of weeks!

All the truth resides here.

Also, as may have been previously mentioned, I may not be keeping the Copland, but at least I can use an SUT that matches the cart into my Denon amp, or whatever amp I have that week.

…until you change the cart…

Far less likely than the amp tbh

Have you considered going digital?

Might have done

Once you have dialed in your Stereo end game, have you started thinking about a dedicated Mono wired arm / 1 mil cart / SUT / Amps and Speaker?

No

Update: Went with Gregg’s SUT and still own both cart and amp, so a finger to all the disbelievers.

Fine here.

I’ve been playing around with a variety of MC cartridges and various SUTs into the MM input on my Vida phonostage.

Now, MC straight into the Vida (high or low settings available) is no slouch, by any means, in fact it’s very good indeed. But, in every case, using an appropriate SUT - matched to the cartridge - was preferable to my ears.

YMMV but I’m firmly in the SUT/MM camp.

The Hana / SUT into the Copland MM phonostage certainly sounds damn good to these ears.

These look good value, anyone know if they are shit or not?

What are you basing that on Rob?
