I had the chance to hear S/sons Sony WH-1000 M3s last week and was massively impressed, they are best headphones I have ever heard.

Just picked up a pair of the in-ear WF-1000XM3 for 120 new. Not tried them yet, charging atm.

Mainly going to be used for music whilst dog walking.

Bear with me on this.

While it’s four years old, this is a perfectly serviceable phone. More importantly it has great sound from the quad DAC, and a micro SD card slot that can take cards up to 2TB. It’s recent enough that all the functionality in terms of Spotify, Tidal and Qobuz is fine.

It would actually make sense as a music-only device, if you use wired headphones, and it’s under £100.

As far as a opening the vault at a time when a genius level artist like Prince is having a creative explosion, it doesn’t get much better than this.

When it arrives there’s a really good podcast I can point you towards which is a good narration of what’s going on at this point in time and what and why the tracks are in the box.
