Good news to hear that NZ have brought in a ban on the sale of semi automatic weapons, the means to convert guns to semi automatic and of other military style equipment. I imagine they deeply regret not following Australia’s lead in 1997 where they looked at such a ban & rejected it.
There’s talk of a ‘buy back’ scheme that could cost 1-200m dollars. If they do that they ought to sell the recovered weapons to the US where they’ll be welcomed. Recoup some of the outlay.
