Clocks on cocks (Part 1)

Me too…

Have the wanties for a proper automatic moonphase: silver/white face, blued hands, large moonphase window. Nothing’s quite hit the mark until I stumbled upon this…

Only downside being it’s ~10X the budget…

Avowedly I’m not being realistic about the budget!

This, however, very much is…

Sole downside - quartz movement, but then that’s kinda good as resetting moonphase watches can be a PITA!

Any suggestions for the above spec?

I came across those MeisterSinger ones after finding their 24hr edition. I really love the photorealistic moon! Looks great.

Never seen that Davosa one but it’s that moon on the MeisterSinger that gets me.

It’s a scientific fact that moonphase watches are wank.

Superfluous complication that serves no fucking-purpose-whatsoever.

Peace out.

It serves the purpose, dear boy, of letting me know what that sneaky old fool The Moon is up to when she’s hiding behind clouds doing sneaky stuff, e.g. pretending to have men land on herself, or that the Earth is some kind of sphere that we’d obviously fall off of if that was true!

Honestly! You can be a Silly Man sometimes…

nein, It will tell you when the moon is full so you can participate actively in worldwide full moon meditation on the Full Moons between the Worldwide Womb Blessings.

In the white light of the Full Moon lie all the colours of the rainbow softened by the feminine. In the Full Moon Meditation, we breathe in specific colours or Moon Rays into our womb energy centre to bring healing, and support and balance to our wombs, our female energies, to our cycles and to our changes in life.

Womb thread coming up
(God, I fucking hope not)

Something about monthly cycles ?

Just noticed that the Swiss Watch Company also do a Chronograph. Really like it.

Was having a look into the history of Glaschutte Original as GUB, state owned east German company. The 2017 Icon issue (currently among many watches I now call my cellar tanking endeavour)

can trace their style, for want of a better word, back to the 1970s cushion watches (see below) . Although available at less thatn a hundred quid I rather suspect plus or minus a minute of two per day. Even so, would look great on one of those leather full wrist military straps.

That does get a lot right. The chrono dials are a bit overfussy, and the chrono hands look cheap (pet rant: SO many watch hands are absolute shite and let watches down), but yeah - chrono, dished dial, sword hands, date at 4.30, very nicely done ceramic bezel insert, plenty of texture on the main dial, sapphire glass etc. Do like, ticks a lot of boxes :+1:

Love the look of the recent ones - good thing my red watch itch has been scratched!

Scrtached the squircle itch with this for £250:

Which Sam promptly nicked off me! It really is a gorgeous thing in the flesh.

Hope you have a strong stomach if you’re actually going to use that for its intended purpose! :flushed:

Standard version’s only Eu350 too…

Driving one’s diseasel down some of Cambridgeshire’s massive mountains, that watch could come in useful!

I guess the standard one you refer to is the diving quartz watches? I couldn’t find a price for the one above.

Standard Spacegraf.

It is entirely possible I waste FAR too much time looking at watches…
