Clocks on cocks (Part 1)

Whatever.

Oranges and lemons.

I really intended to buy the green-themed Oris, and stop being Agent Orange, but then this one came up at a borderline silly price, and the seller took an offer on it. If it proves to be Kowloon’s finest, well, that’s what paypal’s for…

Various options here including 39mm.

I’m liking them myself.

Was belatedly thinking along the same lines - more authentic, and likelier to hold value, some options are actually cheaper too! I must own a Laco one day :+1:

Today’s Daily:

MWC Mil-Tec mk. IV pilot’s chronograph. Ronda quartz with a 4 year battery.
I’ve noticed these are half-price at a bargainaceous £137.50 at the mo, sure they’re quartz, but handsome, Swiss-made quartz for £peanuts - always ready to go sans faff.
MWC’s pics don’t do them justice - the satin-black chrono dials contrast beautifully with the matt charcoal dial. Overall fit and finish is spotless, and the lensed glass gives the dial added depth.

Would it be pretentious to go for an aged look?

Stowa make some very nice looking pilots as well.

I especially like the 6498 based models.

Archimede is another, part of Ickler who make lots of cases.

Some nice prices on pre-owned Lacos.

I like the Archimede GMT.

I also like this for some reason:

Probably due to the strap but I actually like the blue and don’t usually like blue watches. I know it’s not like an original but they’re all new versions aren’t they?

Not much of a saving over new. But its very nice. I love sunburst dials.

The original pilot’s watches were a huge 55mm and worn over the flight jacket.

I love it :heart_eyes_cat:. I think I’m going to get one. Free engraving as well so I can personalise it (I never sell anything).

Is the dial I want for my next project.

Very nice. Love it.

Lovely, and a stonkingly good buy - do it: get in before Brexshit adds ~25%!
Personally, I prefer it to the overly-aged look you linked earlier. Aged lume can be OK, but stuff ages all on its own, so buy fresh IMHO.
