That photo doesn’t really do it justice, I saw it yesterday and the patination of the tritium lume on the markers is lovely, they look almost white in that photo.
It is in really nice condition.

The code number is different.

Rolex lovers are probably where shabby chic started. So if it looks more battered then it’s worth more.

5513 mk1 maxi dial means expensive :unamused:

Is there a moody that has Bolox instead of Rolex? I’d definitely buy that for a dollar.

More true to say that modern Rolex look like this, the 5512 and 5513 were the first models to have crown guards and oversized crown and set the design for the modern submariner

How would you know that, as a non watch collector ? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I like it, wouldn’t spend the money myself, but it’s a nice subtle watch.
As Kevin says the photo doesn’t show the creamy coloured lume off at all.
It’s a smaller softer look of a submariner compared to a modern one and the plastic glass adds another softness to the dial.
Plus it wears very comfortably as lighter and more rounded case back than the new ones.

People wouldn’t know you had a rare dial early submariner on.

Just a Rolex and so try to nick it anyway.

Lol, weird company
