Looks better on Massena’s website, and let’s face it, Ming watches are as good as money-in-the-bank if you ever have a change of heart…

Hahaha

How are you getting on selling a 1 year old as new condition watch for a third of the RRP?
Which to be fair, the way these things are discounted new, is probably only a 50% loss.

Yeah but he has a point over £3k on a bell and toss…

I remember buying a BR03 for £700 new unused and still thinking I was paying too much.

SOS*

I would really appreciate some user advice fellas, I am looking for a courier service or specialist delivery company in order to have a watch £3250 collected from a private seller near Bristol and delivered to me in London

I was banking on UPS who will accept courier for that value however when examining the small print they wil only cover Jewellery inc watches up to a max $2500

I am investigating the other usual suspects DHL…DPD etc however I suspect they will employ the same value ceiling

Someone has posted this before.

Thanks Gregg…I have just dropped on to them and reading through the guff

don’t dpd local do up to £5k? dunno if there are exclusions.

Yeah sorry I can’t offer any help with this as it’s included in the insurance for the shop/stock. But the requirement is that it’s sent only with special delivery. It’s super rare to have a special delivery go missing and is really secure.

That looks quite big. 42mm?

No worries Dom…

Still fuzzy-headed, but that’s a lot of ££££ for the seller to be just washing his hands of any effort or responsibility, especially a private seller - are you 100% sure it’s not moody? It’s a drag of a drive, but I’d be collecting in person, meet in nearby services etc.

Otherwise, as already said, RMSD by 1pm + Secursus insurance.

Does not really help but just sold my IWC Ingenieur and looking at couriers they were all around £100!! to include compensation up to £2.5k. Royal Mail Special Delivery with the same insurance was £9.75. Dropped off at the PO to get the proof of postage, got there next day, all fine.

Its a guy I know quite well but we have never done any business before…I would usually go F2F however that isn’t feasible just now so we agreed to list a targeted at me BiN on EBay …
Yup has gone with RMSD by 1pm + Secursus insurance :+1:

Use Secursus with RMSD but make the seller ship and insure it.
It is the sellers responsibilty to deliver the goods as described

No Exceptions
