Ah, that would actually make sense. Cheers.
Its just a paper weight, medallion they call it.
Went tyre kicking with @edd9000 today….
Zenith is a chonky boi.
Glashutte Panoinverse is lovely, but doesn’t photo well.
Snoopy is exquisite, but 3-5 yr waiting list….
I bought this about 18 months ago (I think)
I have rarely worn it so I brought it on hols with me. It runs fine during the day but it stops at around 3am whether I keep it on or take it off
You need to move house
That’s the trouble with automatic watches, you need to move around occasionally…
How do you know?
It’s why I like quartz
I was admiring a blue Longines Hydroconquest GMT this morning. A lovely thing. I really like that they have smoothed out the edges of the crown guards. Was never a fan of the previous hard edge shape.
I’ve just had my tyre-kicking bluff properly called
Do I meet up with the guy and “have a closer look”?
New Rolex.
Meh.
Bottom Dweller
Based on me really liking how that looks, this statistically means it should be at the ‘plutocrat’ rather than ‘full bore oligarch’ price tier- am I very wrong?
At the risk of coming off as really crass, that one is ~£15k. What would probably put you off is the size, it’s from 1992 so it’s 33.8mm.
The other fighter, which frankly I’m highly likely to buy if he still has it tomorrow, is this.
2012, a perfect 37mm. Nice deployant too. ~£18k.
If you want to dip your toe in the Calatrava waters he also has a ref 3998J for £12.5k. I’m a little surprised by the prices. I suspect partly he’s taken them as part of a trade and wants to cash out, and partly a little of the froth has blown off the market.
Big yes! Beautiful that one.
