This has been on my wrist (subject to the occasional Casio dalliance) for the last 14 years… Probs needs a service, but since Dom retired I’ve been reluctant to pay dealer prices & it still works & keeps reasonable approximate time!

To try and pin down the data on my Speedie I remembered that you could apply for an Extract from the Omega database that gave all the manufacturing/shipping data for your watch.
I have a vague memory of it being quite expensive (£300 maybe) and while nice to have (especially if like me you have no box or papers) I am not sure it adds its cost to the value of the watch.
After a bit of googling it seems that Omega have withdrawn the service which is a bit of a shame.
if you have the METAS card you can look up all the info for free on the Omega website

You aren’t the only one here with an Omega, others may be interested in knowing metas lookup is available

As far as I can see Omega only started issuing METAS cards in 2015 so only covers a very small part of their recent history.
