Covfaffe - the road to despair, calling at futility and disappointment

I have the haus and the feldgrind.
Same burrs just the latter is pared back in design and size.
The grind is all the same it’s just less faff with the non travel one.

Yay!!

I still don’t really get how it works! Do you end up with the coffee in the bottom?

Magic.

The water moves up by pressure. You then turn off the heat and the empty bottom chamber cools and as the pressure drops again it draws the water down.
The glass rod acts like a choke and stops the grinds getting sucked back.

Got it. :+1: So can you finely control that to tweak a recipe?

Apart from grind size no. You can keep the heat on and prolong the extraction.
Otherwise it’s fancy filter

I would class that as a ‘right fuck-on’.

If one is to brew coffee properly, one is going to have to involve oneself in “a right old palaver”. It comes with the territory. :+1:

WANK!

It is a kind of wanking, for sure.

It’s easy. Quick to rinse and tastes great. Drip without the filter paper.

to me dripper and syphon taste very different - I prefer dripper. Haven’t used my Hario syphon in years. Use the drippers all the time. Still prefer the short espresso or Turkish

You need 15psi to make good coffee, fact!
