If you’re going to use a laser then you have the option of making your timepiece a bit more accurate
Optical lattice is old hat, I’m not sure what the alien technology used here is but I suspect quantum trapping

Been busy oiling since the last report. Pleased to say Tut is now half activated ! Just need to get the twirling gods going now, which to be fair, I’ve been attempting to do since birth.
