Not far from you but will depend on the line stage by the sound of it.
I have a Qutest and would agree with Pete (and Ed).
Rabski is making DACs now. Ask for a demo?
And I have a Chord TT and enjoy it.
I’d be curious about Denafrips as well. Just because I have never seen bad reviews.
Did they finally sell your Romulus?
Yeah was looking for that first
Me too
with that he could’ve sold the Nagra CDP as well
They should have stuck to Polo shirts. They’d nailed that.
I agree with the guys comments regarding Chord and the perception of their sound. I’ve got the Mojo 2 and it’s a great sounding bit of kit but then add in the EQ and crossfeed functionality, build quality and it’s a lot of kit in a very small package.
And I come from a place where I loathed the UI of the original Mojo but kept it due to the sound.
Does anyone have any experience of Definitive’s LV Turbo dac? (Just been offered one to try)
hmmm not sure I’d be willing to pay £4k for a es9018 based DAC with 6922 valves, even if it has got a fucktonne of hovland musicaps stuffed into it.
IMHO, Chord start good and get worse the more
Money you spend. I threw a lot at trying to make the chord sound work. Gave up and went another route.
Used to find similar with naim, far preferred their entry level stuff
I have a Holo audio Cyan 2 -it’s great not expensive and I had a Bricasti before…
I’m very much out of current hifi trends etc. but very happy with my audio note 2.1 balanced. Sure I could get up your way at some point as it would be good to see you again and your horns if you fancied a listen.
I’d offer him £3k for this, it’s a lovely DAC.
I’ve had two of them, one was £2.5k and the other £3k so that would be a fair price for 18months old
Then get hold of an AD1865-K to swap out as the improvement is very good.
Would be great to see you Dom (and hear the AN) been far too long mate
