Perfect!

I was thinking about bringing the souped up TEAC vrds25x to your bake-off to see how it compared to the Nagra but decided against it because it might be a bit nerdy! But I can run directly into various Digital inputs on the TEAC so it’s quite handy for using with other Dig sources. Does your Nagra not have a Digital Input?

No, unfortunately not Guy :slightly_frowning_face:

The Vitus CD / Dac that was available on the other forums looked tempting. He said it was a lot better than an Aqua la scala.

My Denafrips Terminator still has a very large place in my heart. The Cayin valve CS100 dac I also have is arguably even better.

My good friend, who’s got Alnic mono blocks and Avant Garde horns, has just got an Aqua la scala and loves it.

I think you linked to the wrong one.

Did you sell your 851n?

Phwoar. Could be terrible of course, but I am still haunted by @defride’s EMM Labs CD player.

EMM labs > Nagra.

Very nice if you ignore the little issue of 115V and £6200 inc import VAT

I could be wrong but I think the voltage is switching despite what the ad says.

Hifi smuggling is available for exuberant fees.

Just needs a giant transformer like Maureen’s.

TBF the Pass Labs is the same but NP sent me instructions on how to change from US to UK voltage and it’s fairly simple (thermistor)

Ignore the seller, these sound superb and have a disc drive built in while the Nagra goes off for servicing:
