It’s a bit too kitsch for me :face_with_monocle:

Also, being Yorkshire, it’s likely that the only vegetarian option would be rhubarb and chips.

So in researching for a design for the en suite we stumbled upon this which is near as dammit the thing we had in our minds all along, with a few tweaks here and there (like black and white geometric floor but not that one).

I’m dog sitting today so I have laptop and and searching for the various bits starting with finding some square aqua tiles like the ones in the picture (aqua glow by Daltile apparently (US).

I got a nice 1960s multi colour blind from a house we we were working on in Peterborough. It was a thinish one for a toilet/stairway window and larger one which I put in the bathroom. Sadly the large one broke
Wish I could remember the make. It’s in pastel colours

Someone get this bought!

You know what, if I’d retired I’d be very tempted.

Funnily enough, I was going to say retirement project.

“However the building, which was granted a category A listing in 2002, has been in a state of decline for more than 20 years.”

Money pit :pleading_face::pleading_face::pleading_face::pleading_face: Run for the hills.

Depends how much you get for being on the subsequent Grand Designs episode.

I posted this in the estate agents thread a few days ago.

They’re basically giving it away in the hope that someone with very deep pockets and the patience of Sisyphus saves and restores it.

As my dear mum used to say, “Nothing worth having comes easy” or was it “get out of bed you feckless youth” ?

I visited the studio as a teenager. It made a big impression on me at the time and is probably responsible for my life-long love of mid century design. It is an exceptionally elegant example of brutalist design in a very lovely woodland setting. It’s well worth seeking out if you’re in the area even in its current state.

Has to be worth somebody taking on, Shirley ?

Too expensive and far away to make it remotely practical. Love to though.

I’d imagine someone will restore it to its former glory but it would be a much more attractive proposition if planning permission was in place, or could be obtained, for residential rather than commercial use.

I think that is the only way it would work, so must be a gimme.
