Make yourself at home Ferg!!
The foster brother has settled in nicely
Sleeping closer and closer to each other as every day passes
Bumped into lady on dog walk yesterday, she has been trying for weeks to get a middle aged dog with no success.
This week a friend managed to get an unwanted dog over from Romania.
A very nervous 9 year old mongrel that has been shaved to check everything before being given to her.
Hopefully the dog will settle down in a few weeks
Seems strange that there arenât any spare middle aged dogs available for adoption from dogsâ homes here.
Yes I was surprised.
She was also happy to pay quite a bit,but couldnât find anything.
Guessing the older dogs only come up when an owner dies/taken ill.
Sheâs pretty frail and uses a walking stick.
Sounds like youâre suggesting the dog might be back on the market sooner rather than later .
Dog rescue centres can be pretty demanding. They expect you to have a secure garden enclosed by a six foot high dog proof fence.
They donât require a 6â fence. Ours is 3â.
They are looking for people they hope they can trust, to look after the dog, so they donât have to try and rehome it, again.
That was our experience of the rescue centres we spoke to.
We used Dogs Trust about 3 1/2 years ago.
Eyes that would melt the steeliest heart. Sheâs lovely, but I think sheâs going to slip out of that collar
Well, todayâs walk was interesting - had to get both girls to drop their âtrophiesâ ie. dead rabbits with visible signs of vhd. Looks like itâs tearing through the local population as they were a fair distance apart.
âYou are dead to me !â
DEAD !!!
I thought he was practicing his Jedi mind control.
âBring me the all treats you willâ
The last time you bathed him was there some kind of reward at the end for good behaviour ?
They never forget.
