Haha , years ago my sister had a blue Great Dane , Meg. Bloody daft and soft as hell.
Sister took a block of butter out of the fridge , unwrapped it and put in on the butter dish but didn’t put the lid on it. Turned around to do something. Yomp down in one !

Years ago again, Jan’s brother brought his Labrador here for Christmas.
Full cheese board left on the dining room table and I mean FULL.
The lot went down while we were in the kitchen.

Given that was a Lab, when you say “the lot went down” I’m assuming that included the physical board as well, not just the cheese etc. on top of it

Finally got to meet my Aunt and her partner’s dog (already 2.5, I’ve been slack about this). She’s called Misty. Takes a while to warm up to new people, which is fair, and then lovely and affectionate as anything:
