Donald Trump finally announced as some massive in-joke (Part 2)

I believe that is the case. He can’t appeal until he lodges the full amount plus interest, approx 90M. The clock runs out on March 7 I think. E-J C can then start proceedings to collect. That should cause the orange idiot to fill his diaper!

Trump keeps referring to Obama as if he were the incumbent President.

If Biden was talking about Bush all the time the media would be all over it.

Personally I don’t think either of them should be running, Can you imagine the state of them in four years time? The Presidential Carer will become a new appointment

Haha

He has so many imagined (And real) enemies he’d be better off calling them all John.

He could mix it a bit with Paul, George and Ringo

If he took a cognitive test he would fail.

I think I would right now

Fascinated by the way this progressed - seems to have been the GOP Justices on the State Supreme Court who wanted to bar him, and then a unanimous decision from the SCOTUS itself.

I’ll don my tin foil hat a second and say that the state level GOP justices knew this would happen and wanted the decision overturned.

I think the ruling was that States could only bar someone from standing if Congress permissions it, by 4 to 3. Off on a technicality. Importantly they did not rule on the insurectionist element, that one has yet to come and will be a test of Presedential immunity.

What fun they are having.

Interesting, BBC reporting a unanimous decision, not 4:3

Yes, that is also true. I had read that the minority agreed with the judgement despite opposing it. Fucked if i know how it works.

From what I read, the liberal justices agreed with the conclusions, but not with the way the conclusion was reached - the full opinion was written by Coney-Barrett, so unsurprisingly shit, as she’s not even remotely close to being qualified for the SC, but that’s what sets out the “reasoning”.

Looks creepy as fuck:

MTG is a piece of work. Fresh from telling David Cameron to Kiss my ass she’s now come undone after gentle probing by Maitlis

From the above article

"Trump won the primary ballot in Maine, Oklahoma, Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Minnesota and Massachusetts.

He told guests at his Flordia private club that November 5 would be the most important day in American history.

“November 5 is going to go down as the single most important day in the history of our country,’ he said"

I think the UK might have a claim there

Not quite on the scale of some of the other cases but another one lost

*Just realised the amount was fixed in a British Court so about 1% of what would heve been awarded in the US :grinning:
