Donald Trump finally announced as some massive in-joke (Part 2)

I was a few days out, but the deed is done.

Trump reminds me so much of the character played by Mel Brooks in Blazing Saddles.

Three word slogans like this really don’t make historical comparisons more difficult.

Pishe?

This picture needs a dancing cat.

Given the tapes, I expect the letters hidden behind his bonce to be EEPE.

I’ve just heard Donny swear, what a statesman or should that be what a state of a man.

Apparently Israel and Iran don’t know what the fuck they’re doing.

Someone doesn’t know what the fuck they’re doing, Donald. But I think Israel and Iran do.

Trump is absolutely going to love a Muslim Democrat as New York mayor.

Trump says Iranians asked U.S. what time they could bomb American military base in Qatar.
Trump said Iranian leaders cleared their plan with the U.S. to fire retaliatory strikes against an American airbase in Qatar, and even requested a specific time to attack.

"They said, ’We’re going to shoot them. Is one o’clock OK?’ I said it’s fine. And everybody was emptied off the base so they couldn’t get hurt, except for the gunners,” Trump said at a press conference in the Netherlands, where he is attending a NATO summit.

Anyone recall a bombing in Syria in 2017?
And wasn’t Trump looking to be out of NATO?

This is bad.

Really bad.

When you own the judges then it’s kinda inevitable.

I’ve been scathing about the reality of what checks and balances actually amount to in the US, but this is essentially throwing the last vestiges straight into the bonfire.

All hail the supreme leader… :grimacing:

Exactly.

I reckon a country’s judiciary should be subordinate to its legislature (and constitution, if it has one) and its executive should be subordinate to both. Somehow in the US the executive seems to have seized the reins of power. It feels like this is how dictatorships happen.

He just needs dethrone Jerome Powell and he’s all clear for blast off to the greatest shit show on earth.

Who is going to say no to Trump changing the constitution so that he can run again? (or just continue without having to hold an election).

I see Trump as President by campaign anyway. He’s constantly holding rallies and drumming up his support, so maybe he’d like the narcissist validation of election wins, as long as the result is never in doubt of course.

Meanwhile, thankfully, there’s Glastonbury :hugs:
