Our generation and the generation after are fucked, I have hope for folk in their 20s and 30s. They seem for the most part quite progressive and seem to get it. Sure there’s also young Nazis and oblivious consumers, but for the most part I think the kids are good eggs
I think modern media and t’internet give a skewed view of where we really are as a species. Loud voices and actual idiots are over represented. Add in Russian and Indian paid trolls shitposting far right talking points in every fucking current events/news comment section that’s still open for posting, and a skewed view develops.
But for the most part I agree with you that Joe Bloggs is sleepwalking into fascism, or in too many of cases cheering it on gleefully.

Energy prices in particular gasoline was a favourite Trump talking point. Mind you, the numbers he quoted were always fantasy creations anyway, so he’ll probably continue saying that prices are down. Just this time even the cringiest bootlicks will clearly see Trump is lying when they look at their empty wallets after filling the SUV
It is a rare occasion when Trump was correct. Some way off on his dates, but that is to be expected.
