Given the caption I’m surprised you haven’t thrown in the ‘fact’ that you rose up against the British to destroy communism.
Rose up against the British because they were pushing the US to abolish slavery and stop driving the indigenous people off their land which didn’t sit well with the slave owners or expansionist capitalists. Country built on a fiction and a lie.

I think it should have been the UK celebrating the American Independence.
The Founding Fathers were shit people, true.
But slavery remained in British colonies long after it was “abolished”. And was then replaced by imported Indian and Chinese labour in indentured service.
The British only cared about Native people as pawns in their wars, first against the French then the US. Ask Canadian natives how their allegiance to Britain worked out for them

Aside; A number of streets in my neighborhood bear names related to the Native People that fought on the British side in the American Revolution. Iroquois, Seneca, Cayuga. There is also Brandt street named after the Native leader/General Joseph Brandt (Native name Thayendanegea).
Brandt moved his people to Canada after the war when the British couldn’t secure them lands in the Treaty of Paris. They played a crucial part in turning back the Americans in the War of 1812.
