eBay stuff (Part 2)

Anyone feeling brave?

Estimate £20-30

If you happen to have spare mains Tx - buy it <Ā£350, if not, FFS don’t, it’s a paperweight.

(there’s always the possibility that the OPTs have been killed too, but that doesn’t happen as often as dead mains)

El84 aren’t the cheap valves they used to be either. Good old have crept up a lot and new jj from Watford valves are Ā£96 a matched quad. Then times 3.

Looks interesting. Can’t quite tell what the output valves might be. If it was closer I’d be tempted to put a bid on.

Not a make I have heard of, although I don’t think you can describe the work done on one as sympathetic.

Didn’t know they made a gold version.

Hardly ever play CDs anymore, but always liked micromegas

I’m now nearly listening to as many CD’s as records and need that in my life

I remember completely adoring a Micromega top loading CD player, I think the Solo maybe? It sounded fantastic, and had a huge perspex top that lifted up to load CDs. Glorious.

I had a 3.1 transport which I regret selling.

There is a solo on eBay.

Didn’t you have one of those metal plinths @Ruprecht ?

Yes, I had the tt too just not the rack of amps that’s with that one

Did they make the tt themselves or source it from Garrard or elsewhere?
