eBay stuff (Part 1)

Does this look legit, the price seems ridiculously low to me. I’d be tempted to jump in the car drive over and do a bank transfer when I’m there but worried I may wake up in a bath full of ice instead.

Better move quick, while the pound is still worth something and the goods won’t have Godknowshowmuch tariff slapped on.

VB

I go with you to collect it, and we can buy wine on the way back.

Is that not the UK badge on the transformers?

I thought it is a very early Japanese Audio Note one before they fell out and he started using Kondo?

Looks legit to me. To my untrained eye it looks an older one. Is the front maked? A ding?

Ze Germans are good to deal with in my experience.

Yep, there’s a little dent on the front edge.

I assume that’s still a bloody good price and he’s just offered to personally bring it over to the UK for me :star_struck:

I know nothing really, I just thought there was an even earlier Japanese one.

You’re speakimg to the wrong people really. You need the Kondo Mafia, who should be along shortly.

Quick google and I’ve managed to find some pics of early Audio Note ongakus with the same AN badges on the transformers so seems genuine.

hifishark has some of old adverts for anywhere between £12k and £20k

Looks nigh on identical to Pete’s (Cobbler).

Could the 220v be an issue if your mains is closer to 240-250v?

Mains is pretty much stable at 240 here but I’ve got a 240 > 220 transformer for the Line Magnetic already.

Can always get a variac.

Surely you would rather have a ButtKicker.

It’s only an interest charge on that one. If you’re talking individual return.
