I wouldn’t fuckin’ know it’s almost dark here :rage:

There was actually a sort of serious pfm thread on exactly that point.

Of course there would be.

What’s today’s production looking like then @browellm ? Maxed out the battery and the car?

Quickly discovered how fast I can max out my relatively paltry battery on a sunny day. 8.2kW battery with an 80% DoD is 6.6kW usable. It’s full by 13:15 on an early spring sunny day.

I don’t have my smart meter fitted yet, so I’ve been manually dumping some of the excess into the car.

Also looks like my inverter is capped at charging/discharging at 2.5kW

Need moar panels, moar battery and moar inverter.

So the only option for battery powered covfaff is a mokkapot on a small ring. The sacrifices one needs to make to keep Greta happy…

Yeah I still haven’t committed as everything else in the house is costing a bomb. But that’s something I was worried about, I asked for double the battery size they recommended and he thought I was mad

Meanwhile

I probably need moar car for days like today.

Today’s generation curve

No lag is there? You peak at midday GMT as might be expected.

Depends which way your house points . Ours is slightly SW facing so the first bit is only indirect and the peak is around 13:15 GMT.

haha Mark peaked in 1991

Haha, so true.

So pleasing.

Positively bulging

A perfect parabola is inherently satisfying. What was your kWh/installed kWp ratio today?

27.2kWh produced from 3.9kWp.

Well this is cool. I think we had the discussion some time ago about whether this was feasible. Turns out it might be…

10.5 jiggawatts :exploding_head:
