I owe Octopus money.
Don’t get me wrong if they went bust I would settle my account, but would much rather have it that way round.
You have to be a bit concerned when you consider that you’re probably a better credit risk than your energy supplier
Yep, some energy companies automatically increase the monthly DD if you go into the red, but Octopus don’t seem to mind. When we moved here 20 months back, I agreed a monthly payment of £80 with them (gas and lecky) and despite being in the red for about the last 12 months, they’ve never suggested increasing the payment. It’s not a huge amount (currently £65 iirc) but still…
Me too, but I didn’t change the DD amount from before I got the milk float, £300 in arrears
So, if they went bust now, you’ve had free motoring since you bought the i3…
According to People’s Energy website I’m £900 in credit. That can’t be right. No wonder they went bust. In July they credited my account with £900. No idea why. I pay £100 a month which should be about right. I think I’ll keep stum.
I have just registered for a group buy solar scheme,
So far just over 2000 local households have registered.
Suppliers auction takes place at the end of the month.
Well @J_B @gthang youll be glad you got your current Go rates while you did.
Have you seen the new ones?
Just had a look as a new customer with a nearby postcode and they’re showing 5p ?
What price have you seen?
Still 5p on the overnight but the day rate has gone from 15p to 24p
So it has, fingers crossed what we have signed up to is sustainable.
It seems Bulb, our gas supplier is on very shakey ground.
Ahhh, bollocks
Slight Partridge shrug at that one given the Powerwall, if I had the spreadsheet up I could see how often we actually pulled from grid outside of the 5p hours but I suspect it isn’t very often.
I’m expecting them to go soon, over the last two months I’ve reduced my payments significantly so their credit to me is now negligible
Finally got the refund from Simplicity via British Gas.
A fucking cheque, who the fuck uses cheques these days (apart from fucking Centrica obviously)
my uncle!!! but i did discover (if you bank with Natwest) you can pay in via the app, by taking a photo of it
Just checked and Barclays do the same so woohoo.
Bet these twats send cheques in the hope that people lose them, forget to take them to the bank or can’t be arsed.
Yes, no doubt they’re loading up the electricity prices in a vein attempt to offset major gas loses.
The DVLA
Thankfully my banking app allows cheques to be paid in using a photograph.
The UK (well more specifically England, Wales and NI) electricity mix is generated from a whopping 46% gas turbine production right now, so it’s directly impacted.
Actually today it’s around 27% because it’s sunny and windy but it has been mid-40s for weeks due to lack of renewable generation, offline nuclear and broken interconnectors to France etc.
