December has officially had none of this.

58.2kWh so far…

Mind you, I had a check on what difference the latest Go rates would make for us and the combination of the day rate going up by 10p/kWh and the standing charge going down would mean a increase of about £6 a year.

Just seen this posted on the Octopus forum. Press F to pay respects.

No more 5p :sob:

Still, filling up your battery at 7.5p looks like a plan!

I’m still on Intelligent until September, which is 15.33p/5p. Might have to remortgage when that expires.

I got an email saying my fixed term had run out (eh! There was no term agree, it was a standing, corporate rate).

I called and they said there had been a “problem with emails” and that it was an error.
My app says I’m still on the 5p / 13.45 rate, and I was told to ignore anything else.

Promoter not gloater rate

@MrKettle what was your generation today? I managed 10.7kWh from my panels which I’m really pleased with.

We did 10.6kWh, peaking at 2.24kW at 12:30.

So given that I have considerably more kWp than yow, have you got a fairly high pitch roof on your place? Ours is pretty shallow (standard for late 70s build) which makes it more efficient in summer when the sun is higher.

Isn’t your array a few degrees off south?

You’ve got 14 panels right? Maybe it’s just an age/efficiency thing?

A bit off south, yes.

However the online calcs for expected output also work on roof angle, the closer the pitch to the angle of the sun at any point in the year the more effective surface area you have. Don’t think it is age, we have 14 lots of 360wp panels and we haven’t had any obvious drop off in output since they went in in Nov 18.

11.3kWh today!

Just had the electric supply upgraded at work to 800kva new transformer, 800m of high voltage cable. A big job, now we can’t get any suppliers who will supply us due to the pricing being so volatile!

Giant wind turbine?

If you want a glowing red hot electric powered rock the size and weight of an average American in your garage.

At a time when gas is allegedly in short supply, the companies that extract it from beneath and next to the UK are shipping it out to the highest bidder, as they will, because any national option was long ago sold off by the Tories. Capitalism at its finest.

Is that why Labour want to hit them with a one-off windfall tax?

I imagine so. As someone said in the comments, when you privatise an industry, you can only sell it once.
