So i’ve been playing with these of late, but have a chance to pick up something else at a price I can’t refuse, so I’m going to move these on.
Prices will be in as much of a bargain basement territory as I can possibly get to.
Auralic Aries G2
- Roon / Airplay / DLNA / Lightning / Bluetooth streaming
- Upsampling / EQ capabilities
- Can act as a CD player with an attached USB (I can include a drive in the sale)
- Can rip CD’s to a network location
- Supports Wi-Fi / Ethernet
- Outputs to AES / USB / Lightning Link (for Vega) / Coax / Optical
- Lovely screen
Auralic Vega G2
- Also supports streaming directly without the Aries (ethernet only)
- Lovely R2R based passive analogue volume control
- Balanced Outputs
- Superb Class A output modules (Orfeo) with up to 6V output, enough to drive power amps directly
I used these two together via lightning link, which is a lovely slick connection that makes the two units behave as one. Volume control, power, etc all end up synchronising between devices, and you get a single control interface for both. I found the Vega to be excellent on its own, but the features and connectivity of the Aries made it a no brainer.
Both are in pretty much perfect clean condition, no obvious marks. Both are fully boxed (double boxed) with all foam internal packing etc.
Vega Price - Ebay has them anywhere from £1500-1800 and beyond - £1200 posted for this one
Aries Price - Again These are hard to price £1400 ish on ebay - £1050 posted for this one
Both Units - Together I’ll do the pair for £2100 and I’ll include an analysis plus HDMI cable for the L-Link, and a nice alloy cased USB drive for CD playback
