It is Massive Attack for me in Liverpool tonight. I’ll be gutted if Liz Fraser doesn’t make an appearance.

Cunty Cords and Tweed donned to lower the tone here tonight:

Astonishing gig by Massive Attack tonight. Visually stunning, but musically even better. Four tunes including ‘Song to the Siren’ with Liz Fraser. Horace Andy and Young Fathers also contributed. Two hours, about 15 or 16 songs, not much chat, no encore. Job done.

She turned up then :grinning: , I remembered today I saw the Cocteau Twins supporting OMD at The Empire in ‘82/3 ? when it was the place for touring bands. I didn’t appreciate what I saw back then.

I was lucky enough to see the Cocteaus play about 10 times. She sings so rarely now that it is just lovely to hear her do her thing…

It sounds like they threw the kitchen sink at it.

I take it that this was quite a big venue? Not a 250 cap club

Sounded good , did the lad enjoy

Yes,unfortunately we couldn’t get a seat as it was packed,I struggled standing for long so had to leave before the end.
Then got accosted outside by two middle aged women who were slightly pissed asking for our wristbands to get in.

It’s a lovely venue.
Not sure if it’s usual for that venue, but it wasn’t very loud.

How did warhorse go?
