Gigs I'm going to. The Gyroscope diaries

The Flaming Lips were fun.

The news says you got the Diminutive Australian Songstress too - nice.

And the pre-gig at Resident is absolutely swamping my Instagram feed

Yes, Kylie was a big surprise.
Presumably she is doing something at Pride this weekend.
It was a great idea for Cave et al to piggyback onto the Pride weekend as all the infrastructure was in place

Really enjoyed the show in the park. First time I’ve seen him live. He winds the crowd up like a bible bashing preacher or travelling salesman in the old West. The Bad Seeds are a force too. Also enjoyed English Teacher and Warmduscher.

Totally agree with Guy. English Teacher and what I heard of the end of the Warmduscher set were excellent. Fist time for me seeing Nick Cave and what a captivating show and who doesn’t live a bit of Kylie.

Just back from an hour of superb piano playing by Hyuk Namkoong. From baroque to jazz through Bach, Haydn, Rachmaninov and Kapustin.

Off to this tonight.

I’m going early because I don’t want to miss Ladytron.

The wife and her two sisters are supposedly following on behind but given that one sister is a ditzy commitment-phobe and the other is Always Epically Late For Everything I’ll believe it when I see it.

Never understood why ladytron didn’t hit the big time. Was 20 years ago this month I saw them at the Eden project. They were brilliant.

Here ya go @malbec. They’ve moved the stage to the left of the rusty laptop this year.

What happened to the lake/pond?

Still there just covered in algae because it hasn’t rained in two months.

They were very good IMO. And she was The Bomb - platinum hair, killer lipstick and Wayfarers.

Revelation of the day was Marc Almond. I was expecting a fat old blert with a shot voice. He was anything but - a really great performance.

And The Numanoid was the Numanoid

SiL #1 wanted to take the guitarist or bassist home. I don’t think she was really fussed which one.

Opening season at the new Blue Note club on St Martin’s Lane (Covent Garden basically) :eyes:

I’d do quite a lot of that frankly

This tonight, Dave O’Grady usually gets a few decent local musicians in.
