How actually do you feel?

You manage to get over it?

Hard to untangle symptoms from cause, but probably combination of demanding situations at work whilst still having our youngest at home two days a week and associated parental guilt , and challenging behaviour from the older children and associated parental guilt, pushing me over an edge that I was closer to than I realised.

Yeah, just needed a few days to recharge and decompress I think. I had been getting quite anxious about the whole situation, and I was completely exhausted, way beyond being “tired”. First day off I slept for 14 hours solid, I normally get about 6 hours.

That’s good. Hope you stay better. I think I’ve gone past the point a long stretch in bed would help.

I slept fine through this whole thing until 2 months ago and then it all went to shit. Weirdly I feel like I’m getting off to sleep better in the last week or so despite feeling worse during the day.

Good luck. It was a bit more than just getting some sleep, tbh. I realised I was worrying too much about stuff that was way beyond my control, which is a waste of energy. Not saying that it’s not something to be worried about, but I was getting really worked up about stuff like people not wearing a mask , and waving around those stupid “Mask Exempt” lanyards that they’d bought off ebay for a couple of quid when they get challenged. Stuff like that. Pointless getting worked up about it, I decided just to keep out of their way.

I’ve still got to learn how not to let that stuff get to me. I’m glad I got rid of Facebook before all this shit started.

Very annoyed today after reading this, it’s about time we stopped all travel that isn’t needed, and holidays for the knuckle dragging pleasure seekers isn’t needed. How many deaths have been contributed to by the ’ oh, I need a holiday fraternity ', we’d all like one but sometimes common sense has to to take precedent. *please note I haven’t sworn once, must be poorly *

The thing I find particularly depressing is that it’s far from just “knuckle draggers”. I know of a fair few people, scientists included, that really should know better but who in some cases have gone on multiple holidays abroad :frowning:

I think this shows the respect due to the resident builder & plumber of the abattoir. Considering they normally go on a different holiday every Friday, they have shown remarkable restraint & self-control in staying at home and doing what’s right for public safety.

I’m an OAP now, I might get a weekend in Cleethorpes next year, if I’m still here

How about attaching them directly to Boris Johnson. Help him make a smooth u-turn on feeding hungry children and locking the fekk down?

Good article, excellent visuals.

I went to Cleethorpes a couple of years ago.
It was like a time machine back to 1970s seaside town, minus all the people, and all the fun.
Dire !
