Aye, true, but I’m not dead inside yet.

Good shout that.

Too small.

Only for Warwick Davis.

I take it no one here has run a 7 series then?

Have you confirmed you actually fit in one, or will you need a long wheelbase version? I imagine that’s where the real spendys are.

I can’t see a 730d/740d being that much more to run than a 530d.

Buy this long wheel base Merc. You only live once. Once the kids leave home you can buy something sensible.

Ok- hear me out on this. What about a Jag XJ in long wheelbase trim? They don’t seem outlandishly expensive and there’s a fair few about in diesel and with sensible miles.

Something like THIS looks solid and you could convince your neighbours you’ve moved into organised crime.

Yeah a 7 or an S, or an a8 works.

I agree, i can’t see it being massively more expensive but wondered if anyone here has actual experience.

Take out seats as necessary

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited…

Ooh great idea. The infotainment thing is at least a generation behind, but apart from that they have everything on them, and the interior is lovely.

Is it not worth having more than one car - one for work etc, and a family thing for transporting the brood?

See my post above

That is what he has, took 4 of us + all our golf clubs trolleys and stuff to France for a holiday with ease.

Just googled, they are not cheap! :scream:
