Car Wants (maybe once, but now just anything Jim can find on the internet. 🙄)

Now you are talking! Trouble is Guy, you’d need to take a foot off your legs and add it to your arms!

There’s a certain look that (I presume) one of the design houses was getting.

The Peugeot 504 coupe also had it.

As did the Lancia Beta coupe

And then we had a go…

Effortless & timeless

My Dad bought one. We thought we were the bee’s knees when we got it. Sadly we soon wished that our Morris Oxford was still alive.

An window to our future.

Certainly looks like neither effort nor time was spent on it.

Did it have the optional sports handling kit?

We had one too. And an allegro… the best and only good bit of which was:

The Marina or the Oxford?

Not that it makes much difference

A FUCKING SQUARE STEERING WHEEL! HOW FUCKING COOL WAS THAT!?

They went a bit mad with the estate’s styling. Drugs involved I suspect.

At least they photographed it in an expensive part of town.

Allegro, more brown than Volvo :+1:

We had an Allegro Estate, blue in colour and a 5 speed box. It was kept in a garage so it didn’t rust. Shame my parents didn’t have the foresight to keep it as a long term investment, would have been worth £3k nowadays.

I remember my father announcing an indicated 90mph on the german autobahn during a holiday, must have been quite a sight.
