My walk to the One Stop has been awarded with a cat;
Not seen this one before. Her tail is particularly smart.

I think you mean he leant you a chair until he needs it.
This majestic beast finally turned over his ninth life at the weekend, and departed this mortal coil. Leo was my brother’s cat, and he’d reached the ripe old age of 20, which is a very solid innings. Also probably the fluffiest cat I’ve ever met outside of a rag-doll:
This is our neighbour’s cat. It is fair to say that it does not have the social skills of other visiting cats on this thread or, to be fair, many other skills.
He has however spent months sitting and staring at this manhole cover on the garden the other side of us.
And I should point out that the juvenile rat was alive (if not moving at full speed) at this point.
Applause to the old boy.
That’s a wizened look if ever I’ve seen one.
X.
His Lordship was pissed off at me for doing housework type shit earlier. Even though I did tell him about this!
Anyhoo, he’s relaxed now:
After a long brave fight with liver disease Babycat slipped away in the night. He and Napoleon were best buddies always cleaning each other and sleeping together. Poly already looks a bit lost.
Here he is two years ago looking well.
Best wishes to you and Hel, Wayne, (And Napoleon)
Even when you know it is coming these times are never easy x.
Best wishes Wayne
Thanks for your thoughts guys.
When we moved here just 3 years ago we had 4 cats. Misty (23), Peaches (16) and now Babycat (10) have left us but Napoleon (18) is soldiering on albeit he isn’t well either and is a fairly old cat himself. Scout loves him though so he’ll find it hard to be lonely.
Babycat’s background is a sad story. He was bought by FoL and her then boyfriend who was a genuinely lovely young man but troubled by erratic mental health issues compounded by an addiction to very hard drugs, which he struggled to kick despite three episodes at a private rehab clinic.
He sadly OD’d and passed I think at about 23 years old. FoL had no choice but to leave him 2 weeks before this as he was wildly out of control and she couldn’t cope and that is how we had Babycat come and live with us ever since. So his passing has unfortunately brought back some of the trauma of that time for Hel and FoL.
Sorry to hear your sad news about Babycat. My heart goes out to you.
