Interesting Speakers

I’d expect 500Hz, but might be wrong.

Eminence Kappa 15 ought to do. He’ll need a reasonably large horn for his mid driver (like you have) & probably a 2" throat driver attached to that. Then a tweeter to cover > 5KHz or so

New Direkt premium look really good, looks like a new crossover, woofer and tweeter for a slight increase to £3k

These are really tempting.

Heco (& Magnat) changed ownership a couple of years ago becoming part of the Premium Audio Company group that owns Klipsch, Onkyo & various other brands. That in turn was acquired by Gentex, a US automotive parts company specialising in dimming screens & mirrors in Dec24. There are quite a few brands in PAC’s portfolio that do automotive speakers & electronics so it was a logical move for Gentex.

Henley Audio inherited distribution of all of Premium Audio company’s brands a while back but, when I asked at Bristol, whether they were going to continue with Heco & do these new Direkts, the rep didn’t seem to think that they would.

A pity. Although I’m not that taken with the new look, they’ll likely still be a nice sounding, good value speaker.

I foolishly watched with increasing horror, wondering what vocals could match the intro :open_mouth:

In Chris Connelly’s autobiography he tells of struggling for weeks with lyrics for the music. Then Gibby Haynes rocked up for the weekend, winged it, and a legend was born :grinning:

I am still wondering as they didn’t.

Needs to be put on vinyl so I can take it to shows to demo equipment…
