It’s certainly too late to close Pandora’s box-of-poundshop-nazis, but I maintain that if the Beeb in particular (& news sources ingeneral) hadn’t actively promoted Farage as if he was some kind of legitimate opposition rather than a one-note-singer with a message of hate and division, chances are we’d still be part of Europe, and we wouldn’t be at risk of electing the vilest government in British history in a few years time…
…but there we go, ifs and buts and maybes…

Maybe I’m a bit sensitised by having to sit through the Prevent course again last week (there’s a test at the end, so playing it while you’re Hoovering isn’t an option).
I don’t care about the vast majority of the far right. I hope they’re the vast majority of a small number. I just want that small number to stay small.
One bit of guidance on the course suggested that if I were to come across a teenager who was heading in that direction I should encourage him/her to check the ‘facts’ they were being fed on some reliable source. That only works if there is a reliable source. In fact, of course, what I’d really do is run to one of my DSLs just as quickly as I could.
I agree. But now we’re discussing how they deal with him, not whether they should deal with him at all.

Indeed. I felt that the chap who was had up for stabbing the Eritrean gentleman had been driven mad by loneliness. No excuse, mind. Ironists will have noted his belief that “they” wanted to ban meat. Sadly won’t stop his funding from the US or at home - Poor little Tommy can’t quite get his tiny warped nut around some pretty basic laws (They were made very clear to him when he lost his case and £100,000). Nine months of solitary will undoubtedly be Allah’s fault - it can’t possibly be his thinking that’s the issue, after all 1 million followers agree with him in between mouth breaths.

On top of that he was found guilty of entering America on a friends passport in 2013
He is a declared bankrupt who owes his creditors £2m and is subject to a HMRC investigation.
