I’ve got Tado and really impressed with it. Installed it 2yrs ago when I moved in after getting frustrated with Hive and Nest at the last place.

I went with the v3+ system rather than Tado X as the X only supports opentherm and is not compatible with EMS2 on my Worcester combi :frowning: Was a bit of faff as I had to buy the EU version of the controller as that supports HTBus for the EMS2 integration to support the flow control

TBH I’m glad I did as the forum (before they shut it down) was riddled with complaints about Tado X.

Anyway, very impressed with it and I expect they’ve probably fixed all the X niggles as it’s now on the 2nd gen.

Nice simple interface via an app or webpage and the weather function is good as it predicts how long it needs to bring the temp up to what you set. I just tell it that I want the temp to be 21c at 0630 and it decides when it needs to start heating. Geofencing is good as well, if you work a distance from home it also works out when to start heating for when you get home, useless for me as the office is 15mins away

PS get Eneloop white (not the pro black) rechargeable batteries for the rad therms as they last a good 12 months.

5% in corporate terms is pretty standard year on year ‘efficiency’ drive stuff. I’d imagine the real scope of AI staff reduction starts at 50% (albeit they’ll do this in smaller steps easier to explain away).

The last bit of work in the last job in Britain will be performed by an old guy in a brown housecoat, flat cap, tab-end of a fag hanging off his lower lip, and a broom in his hand, whose job will be to shut the doors and lock them for the last time.

I for one welcome our new Morlock overlords :+1:
