Mince Pie Revisionist. Hypocrisy, Cognitive Dissonance and Flaked Almonds

I was going to post a picture but I’ve eaten both of them. :pie::pie:

I disagree! In respect of some food items, diminutive size plays a part in the experience, because they come with an inbuilt lusty sense of desire for more, that actually adds to the experience of consuming them! Pistachios are a good example. Eat a handful at once, and it has none of the magic… An oversized pie is not as good as two smaller pies. One has spoken, the matter is settled :point_up_2:

Fun size should = fucking huge. It doesn’t, I file this next to: Going bald, the Tory party, my cat won’t let me stroke it.

Although not pies I loved these with a cup of tea.

Shortbread Mince squares.

Like big pies.

yes, had one today. Way too sweet for me, craggy under baked pastry

We must have different ones from the ones you’ve tried - it’s strange. The ones we have are quite tart and very fruity with a lovely well baked pastry. Maybe our bakery know how to bake them properly :grinning:

I will need to get some more and post some pics up before eating them this time.

You’re talking to a bloke that would likely add marmite and enjoy it!!

quite possibly.

I’ve ate a lot of marmite the last two days but not with a mince pie.

Haha! Touché

Both kids like the M&S Collection mince pies. The first mince pies they have ever liked.

I’m open to new ideas now, purity is exhausting.

Orange watches, purple shoes, mince pies with no lids, anything.

The thing is I have a sweet tooth and would enjoy everyone of these. Maybe not at Yuletide.

Well, I’m slightly heartened to see Sade made a comeback.
