Mince Pie Revisionist. Hypocrisy, Cognitive Dissonance and Flaked Almonds

Set aside while I work on preparing some sausage rolls.

Mmm . . . beef suet :slightly_smiling_face:

Ah, the self-justificatory concatenation of the delusion-filled zealot!
No, no - you confuse your own crywanking over the disgusting slime-mulch with one of Life’s Actual And True Pleasures: a thing unto itself, enjoyed by millions, and an acknowledged improver of the merely adequate.

Very different it is to the atherosclerotic pabulum you pimp, pander and purvey…

They’re like politicians - strong opinions when it suits them, but when one of them perpetrate some unspeakable act of deviancy*, they close ranks and rally together in support.

*Potentially involving pig parts

Basically tories.

The whining of part time pieistas smacks of green eyed envy and smells like cold crypie. Of course the the Southwest is charitably amused, we stand resolute, dedicated and serious.

All this noise, yet SE man buys his cream from the garage or some tragic un-supermarket. Every word from the home cunty bois acts as a mirror to their pre-packaged fragility. Chewy Jealousy / crunchy envy & claggy inferiority - Entertaining certainly but no one’s going to swallow it…

I suspect even a ruddy good forking wouldn’t help.

Finally, the Funzie Mince pie.

Mincemeat is about 13 mths old now and it has certainly improved from last year.

All of the butter pastry.

They’re quite deep and as full as I think I can get them without major leakage.

And before anybody asks for the weight…

I have a bit of pastry dough left and rather than getting into making filling from scratch (next year) bought some of this to try. A bit deviant maybe but Who dares, wins.

Are food parcels an option or would customs never let them leave Lerwick?

The ferry crew wouldn’t let them leave Fetlar.

Make it now and use it next year, it’s worth it!

Which recipe did you use? Delia?

There will always be a home for you in the sw, you don’t need to be a deviant but it helps
