Why? Just why?

P.s. is this too northern to get @Gyroscope to try it?

I’m all for a nice Yorkshire ale but that looks fekking rancid

Simply another beverage for people who don’t like beer.

This.

I’ve more or less stopped buying the IPA type beers and went back to enjoying traditional beers.

I have been reading labels more and more. I love a NEIPA, or a “fruity” Pale, but I balk at adjuncts like “flavourings”.
ALL the flavours a beer lover could ever need are available by careful combinations of malt, hops, yeast, and water.

Yes, I know I’ve proclaimed this more than once, but many brewers are lazy and looking for shortcuts (or are shortsighted).

The other thing I tend to avoid is the newer beers with really quite high ABV’s.

Oh and while I’m having a moan I loathe the term “session ale” just gtf with the hipster wankery.

I remember back in the eighties a lot of pubs up here sold a 60 schilling which was around 2.5 % - handy if you didn’t want to get blootered or fancied a pint at lunchtime.

Negroni, avec ses Walkers ready salted that go out of date today :scream_cat:
