This is an odd one. It’s “cask strength” but only 40.2%. The rumour mill was it that cadenheads had some really old stuff kicking about that had dropped below the magic 40%, so they’ve basically used some 25yo to bring it up to ABV.

It’s a soft dram, very gentle and easy to drink, possibly a bit too light for me, but I fancies giving it another go tonight!

Nice wee delivery just landed. >>

Not had the 10yr old cask strength Laphroaig in quite some time. I fondly remember bagging a couple of bottles of cask strength Laphroaig in Asda around 10 years or so back for under £30 but never saw it on t’ shelves again.

M.o.M. currently have it on offer with £20 off @ £56-95 on a flash sale, with around 8 days left to run & currently 36% of available bottles claimed.

Couldn’t resist another bottle of the Seaweed & Aeons 10yr old Islay cask strength as it wuz briefly on offer at only £50, but now back up to £70. Think this batch may be the tastiest yet, nice to have a healthy stockpile.

Wee little 3cl freebie of Glasgow 1770 “The Original”

Had another £10 off complimentary voucher so around £153 all in. Bargaintastic!!
