Moar booze. Every pint mj2 has drunk since 1986

Still is at my local asda Guy. Its just actually gone up a little to £1-65. The Shepherds Neame Spitfire amber ale is the same price.

I tend to drink more of t’ 1698 bottle conditioned strong ale & the IPA, but tend to have Bishops finger in the fridge at most times & at least one bottle of Spitfire in t’ house.

I do like the 1698 as well although I wouldn’t drink either from the fridge. Our pantry is about as cool as it needs to get, for me anyway.

I’ve not tried that one but I love a Westons. How do you rate them side by side?

I reckon it betters Westons standard vintage that’s been going for yonks. Fair bit more flavoursome to my taste buds. Very similar in terms of medium dry balance fer both.

Considerably better than t’ older version of Thatchers pick of the year vintage & abv is also up to 8.3% since they’ve tweaked it.

Cheers, I’ll need to look out for it. Always had a soft spot for a good strong cider since I went out with a girl from near Keynsham. Two pints of the local brew in a village pub and the knees were trembling.
