Did you know it’s origins are from the Fiery Cross used by the Highland clans to declare war and/or raise men to fight for a cause.

It was used in the American War of Independence by the British as a way to gather Scots troops and militia - especially from Canada.

And adopted by the Klan Kunts as a lot of the original members were Scots or decendents.

The 17 crosses paraded at Bonfire in Lewes represent the 17 Protestants who were burnt alive in the town centre between 1555 and 1557.

Part of the reason ‘Bloody Mary’ got her name.
