So the UK Track & Trace contract is GBP 12 Billion, or 1,200 Million.
The new Berlin Airport, heavily over cost budget and 9 years over time was under half of that (EUR 6.4bn or GBP 5.9bn)??
Germany had the app developed for EUR 20 Million, with running cost till end 2021 cumulating to a budget of EUR 67 Million, that is GBP 61 M…for a country with 23% more inhibitants…

Oh and it doesn’t work, most recently just 62.6 per cent of cases in England were reached and told to self-isolate, SAGE recommends 80% min. to function. Ultimately this is going to end with me having to go with a small turkey for Xmas, heads will roll.
It’s not the app. That was poorly done, for sure, but the track and trace costs are for the people who are meant to follow up leads, some of which might be generated by the app.
Obviously, the system is utter cack.
I wish I knew what the real fault of the cock up was.
I expect we will have to wait for an enquiry headed by Dame Dido to be absolutely sure.
I think it’s 35 million for the App and twelve Billions for test and trace, including that element provided by the NHS and local public health. I don’t know the value of the Serco and other private provider contacts, anyone?

I love to think that cronyism, venality and corruption lies behind the nepotistic allocation of overpriced, badly-negotiated contracts to family and friends of ministers, but the truth is the cunts are so endlessly incompetent, lazy, thick and divorced from anything the likes of us recognise as Reality, that they probably just chuck the cash at the first person that sticks their hand up as they simply know no other way forwards, and feel safe in the knowledge that they’ll be on the after-dinner speech circuit by the time the pigeons really do come home to roost…

Where did twenty one billion for a trace system come from? I thought it was a twelve billion allocation for test and trace, which will include all the essential services, there are a load of them, before you get anywhere near the great unwashed… Us.
