Discovered in the last week that house martins and pine martins aren’t even a bit similar. Not even a little.
In other news, it looks like there’s a local pine martin who has discovered our free range chickens. We are now down to 2.

Friends up in Ardnamurchan have one which comes round every evening for a handful of peanuts. It knocks on the door and stands up to try to pull down the door handle - I kid you not, I’ve seen it.
They do not have livestock, though Dave did have to put an electric fence around the grapes in his greenhouse after it cleared the lot one year.
