My mate is the distributor for Caparison guitars.

Caparison? Whodey?

Caparison? If I lived in Cardiff Iā€™d be able to try one, if they had one in stock!

He lives in LA now and the Cardiff music shop (Cranes) has closed, as has the Swansea one.

Iā€™d have thought theyā€™d have had stockists in London but apparently not.

Canā€™t say Iā€™m keen on the point headstock, getting beyond that theyā€™re some good looking instruments.

How did it go? :grinning:

Errā€¦ still at the contemplating removal of digit stageā€¦ :point_up_2:

Went to see The Felice Brothers last night
Ian Felice is a very talented guitarist but I donā€™t think I have ever seen a more battered guitar

Rory Gallagherā€™s Strat is a bit battered !

Ahem, I think youā€™ll find thatā€™s patina

Fender charge big money to make brand new guitars with relicing like that.
I donā€™t get why youā€™d want a new guitar to look totally old and fucked for Ā£3k+, even so thereā€™s a big market for it.

I get the feeling that Ian Feliceā€™s guitar is real rather than ā€˜professionally distressedā€™
A fender Strat is one thing, I doubt there is much of a market to distress a single pick up semi-acoustic that no one has heard of.
(Although the fact that I have never heard of Guild guitars doesnā€™t mean much as I am not a player, but I have seen a lot of bands and this is a new one on me)

I have never heard of Guild either, but just reading up about them, they have quite a hstory.

Guild are very well known for acoustic guitars. Maybe not to non guitarists though.

Lovely bit of subtle brand violation and reputation destruction. Top effort there @coco
