Is this something you’ve actually watched in the last 40 years?

probably borderline on the 40yrs, thought it was hilarious when I was a nipper.

So not Birthday of a Nation which is what I was going with

nope, it isn’t birth of a nation either.

Oh gosh. You got me. What a zinger.

I knew it was a Will Hay film but couldn’t remember which one until you posted the pic of Moore Marriott.

Ask a Policeman.

We have a winner, still think it’s a corker.

My Dad still watches them from time to time on some obscure channel.

I can still remember him saying ā€œooh, there’s a Will Hay film on tomorrowā€ also remember my Mother in the background mumbling ā€œoh my godā€

Ok, fairly easy one from an all time classic movie

Indeed.

4 Oscars and Brando didn’t get one

I didn’t know he didn’t get one for that He was very good in it too. My Nan was a huge Brando fan, I watched this again a few months ago and enjoyed it more than when I was a kid.

Bogart won it for African Queen that year but I agree, Brando’s performance was gripping.

No - I’ve recognised 1.5 so far - the 0.5 'cos I recognised Kubrick’s style but not the movie.

I’m REALLY bad at this sort of a thing - my memory’s so bad I live eternally in-the-moment; everything is a constant surprise… :frowning:

I’m also remarkbly shit at Scrabble, x-words and word-games in general…
